Getting things going

I am not a person of patience. Definitely a quality, that if I ever show, is ONLY because God gives it to me. So I'm doing well in school right now..I've also been applying at local businesses for part time work. I desperately need a vehicle, and I'm determined that by May, I will have one..along with a job. I will be taking a couple courses of school this summer, which I'm kind of bummed about, but I have little choice if I want my math course to count for anything.

Sean is moving here this summer!!! The most exciting news to happen since I moved away from TN. :) I'm looking soo forward to having my man in the same state! lol Long distant relationships are TOUGH! But, it has all been worth it. We're stronger than ever and know what we want out of life. I've never been happier. The kids just love him and I really couldn't have prayed for a better man. He's everything I need and I'm so thankful for God giving him to me.

I'm still trying to pursue my photography out here too. It's coming along. I'll update you on that on my photography blog..so start following!  :)

Hope you all have a Happy Easter and Praise God for a Risen Savior!!

Why does timing matter??

Sean had to go back home to Virginia last night. I usually feel so empty after he leaves. It's not that I have nothing to do because I still have the kids, housework, homework, and a hundred other things I could do...it just all seems so much less when he's not a part of it. So timing...I can't understand why things can't just happen. I've got to find a car, a home, and a job, he's got to find a job here to be here...seems the steps are so many in between. I suppose all getting all these things lined up is great motivation if that's all it'll take to have him with us for good. The kids miss him like crazy too. Addy doesn't understand why he had to go back and why he couldn't just work here. It made me smile. Logan's back to school after a nice spring break and I have two papers to write this week. JOY. So anyway, I'm just a big ball of emotions today. I could write a ton more, but I think I'll wait for a more positive time.

Here's a picture from Sean's visit with us!

All bubbly

Okay, so I seriously think I know what a child would feel like awaiting the final few hours of his or her first trip to Disney World!! I am sooo excited that I can barely contain it! My sweet, amazing, wonderful boyfriend will be here in TWO DAYS!!! It will be such a wonderful time being with each other and the kids as a family. A sweet glimpse of what our future will be like and I can't wait for that either! I'll have tons of photos to post after his 10 day visit! I hope you all come back to see them!

Aside from my excitement for Sean, I passed my psychology test last night with a C..better than a D or failing...but still, not what I'd have hoped for. And I studied HARD! lol Tonight will be my Sociology test...blah. But I've studied hard for this one too, so I'm hoping for another B in there! This is my last week of school until spring break...YAY!!

I'm still in prayer for a vehicle, a home, and a job. All in God's timing. I'm also praying for the right time to be married again. He's provided the answer to my prayers with Sean...now I just need the 'go ahead' for that amazing union!! :) Logan has a play at school this Thursday. He'll be singing in it!! I'm so proud of him. He's in the top 2 in his class as far as reading goes. He's such a smart boy. Addyson and Gavin will be joining a gymnastics gym every wednesday morning for open play...and when it's affordable for me, if she's interested, I'll sign her up for actual gymnastics. Thursday is usually our library day at the public library, but since Sean will be flying in and Logan has his play, we'll switch that to this Friday.

Lots going on! I ordered some brochures for Melissa Kay Photography, so I'm hoping this will help me get my business out there now! I'm really hoping God will lead me in this business. It would be very beneficial in many areas of home life for me to make it in this. I really want to homeschool the kids and right now, that's just not possible.

Well, that's enough for now. I think I'm going to enjoy blogging. :)

I hope everyone has a blessed day! Here's what I read today that I found very enlightening. :)

Psalm 127:1,2 - Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the LORD guards the city, The watchman keeps awake in vain. It is vain for you to rise up early, To retire late, To eat the bread of painful labors; For He gives to His beloved even in his sleep.
In Him,
Melissa

I Heart "Jump for Joy"

This will be my first I Heart entry. If I figure it out!

So this is my youngest sister around Christmas. We were having a blast jumping off the stairs and snapping photos! (that's my son in the background, getting ready for his jump)

It's been a while

So I haven't blogged in months...many months. I'm terrible at doing this. But I'm going to try doing this daily, maybe every other day. I'll start posting a little about my children and I and our progress as family without a man in it. I also want to share what I'm learning about God and what he's using me for these days. I'm really hopeful about what's to come for me and I think sharing it will only encourage my optimism. :) So, for now, I'll share that I have been attending Calvary Baptist Church for about a month and I love it! The kids love it too. I'm hoping to be doing a lot more with my photography soon. I'm going to finish school at Ivy Tech this semester, get my cna certification this summer, then transfer to The Art Institute of Indianapolis next semester and pursue my degree in digital photography. In the midst of all that I'm hoping God will provide a vehicle, a job, and a home for my children and me. I'm also hoping to start a small group this summer. So, I'll be a busy woman! Hopefully I'll be sure to keep updates on this thing for you who are interested in following. :) Have a great week!!

Melissa

The picture above is our recent visit to the park. :) Addy wasn't having any part of pictures with me and the boys, but atleast she's in it.
